Hunter is starting to outdo his old man. Hunter caught this big brown in a small ditch this spring, to say he was excited is an understatement.

2009 Extended Archery
As usual, I hunted down on the front again, I love to hunt the bucks in November when they are rutting. I found a lot of sign, and even got some shots(sound like I need to practice some more) The second to the last night I hit a small 4 point, and followed him for 7 hours only to run out of blood, and he was never found. It really bums me out to wound any animal, looks like I will be making some equipment changes to my broadheads.

2009 Elk Hunt

I finally got to take Hunter with me on my annual hunting trip out to the North Slope. We found the big bull in velvet while out hunting one morning. The last week of the hunt I was able to call this small bull into bow range, and dropped him in his tracks. Sure is fun when it all comes together

In 2008 I finally drew the archery tag I had been waiting for. Although We saw many good bulls, I never did get to punch my tag. I missed the biggest bull I have ever shot at, from a distance of 15 yards, I know I don't know what happened either. I had a lot of fun. Dewayne did however shoot a calf one afternoon with his recurve, I did get to wrap my hands around the antlers of a bull, just not the one I shot.
