In 2001 I took my first buck from a tree stand. We had scouted a water hole, that the deer were using regularly. This buck came in for a drink, and gave me a 20 yrd shot. We had to pack him uphill about a mile. Thanks to Quintin, Garret, and a pole, we made short work of it. I was featured in Eastmans Bowhunting Journal's successful archers section.
